Identify a problem or issue on the City College campus that you think could be improved or that you want to explore a little more, or something that could be a positive addition to the campus. This memo will be a one-page formal written document which will describe and discuss the problem, issue or addition you choose to explore, with a recommendation for further action. See guidelines and sample memo on pages 372-374 of Technical Communication.

Ideally, assignment 2 will tie in with assignment 3, the lab report, and with assignment 4, the engineering proposal and presentation. If, however, you decide you want to focus on something different in subsequent assignments, you can choose a new topic for these. All topics will be discussed in class and are subject to my approval.

Format: APA style, Microsoft Word, appropriate size 12 font, standard margins, double-spaced

Length: 1-2 pages
